At Crofton Dental Care, we see patients with a range of tooth replacement needs. Some wish to discuss options such as fixed implant-supported restorations or removable prostheses following the loss or deterioration of teeth.
In this case, the patient attended with concerns about the condition and appearance of their upper teeth and wished to explore suitable treatment options. Following a comprehensive clinical assessment, we discussed the available treatment options and developed a personalised treatment plan based on the patient’s individual needs.

Step 1: Consultation
The patient attended Crofton Dental Care with concerns about the condition and appearance of their upper teeth and wanted to explore suitable treatment options.
During the consultation, a comprehensive clinical assessment was carried out to evaluate the patient’s oral health. We discussed the available treatment options, together with the benefits, limitations, and suitability of each option.
Following this discussion, the patient chose to proceed with an All-on-4 upper arch implant-supported restoration based on their individual clinical circumstances.

Step 2: Treatment Planning
A detailed treatment plan was developed following the clinical assessment.
This included evaluating the remaining upper teeth to determine which teeth were suitable for long-term retention and identifying those that were not suitable for restoration. The treatment plan included assessing whether implant placement was clinically appropriate and planning the design of a fixed hybrid bridge in collaboration with the dental laboratory team.

Step 3: Implant Placement and Restoration
Upper teeth that were not suitable for long-term retention were carefully removed as part of the treatment plan.
Four titanium dental implants were placed in accordance with the agreed treatment plan, where clinically appropriate, to support the fixed implant-supported restoration.
This stage formed part of the overall treatment process, with each step carried out according to the patient’s individual treatment plan.

The Outcome
This case involved replacing upper teeth that had been assessed as not suitable for long-term restoration.
Treatment included clinical assessment, treatment planning, removal of teeth that were not suitable for restoration, placement of four dental implants where clinically appropriate, and the fabrication of a fixed hybrid bridge.
Every patient’s treatment needs are different. Clinical outcomes, treatment times, and suitability for implant treatment vary depending on individual oral health, bone quality, healing, and other clinical factors.
This case study is provided for educational purposes. Individual treatment plans and outcomes vary according to each patient’s clinical circumstances.
