At Crofton Dental Care, we sometimes see patients with loose or failing upper teeth that can affect everyday activities such as eating and chewing. In this case, Susan attended with concerns about loose upper teeth that were worn down and failing.

Following a comprehensive clinical assessment, we discussed the available treatment options and developed a personalised treatment plan involving an All-on-4 full upper arch implant-supported restoration.

Step 1: Consultation

Susan attended Crofton Dental Care with concerns about loose upper teeth that were worn down and failing. She was experiencing difficulty eating, chewing, and wanted a permanent solution that would restore both function and confidence.

During the consultation, we carried out a comprehensive clinical assessment, discussed suitable treatment options, and answered questions about the treatment process. Following assessment and planning, Susan decided to proceed with an All-on-4 upper arch implant-supported restoration.

All upper teeth were removed and four titanium implants were positioned according to Susan’s individual anatomy and treatment requirements.

Step 2: Scan to Construct Final FIxed Implant Bridge

Following implant placement, Susan’s implants underwent the expected healing and integration process over several months.

Once healing was complete, detailed digital scans of all implants were completed to capture their exact position. These records provided the information needed to design and fabricate Susan’s final fixed bridge in collaboration with Royal Dental Lab.

Step 3: Final Implant Bridge Fitted

Once fabrication was complete, the final All-on-4 upper-arch implant-supported restoration was fitted.

The completed restoration provided a fixed implant-supported replacement option for the upper arch, designed to support everyday functions such as eating and chewing based on Susan’s individual treatment plan. The bridge was designed to match the appearance of Susan’s natural teeth and support the aesthetics of her smile.

The Outcome

Susan’s treatment involved replacing upper teeth that were loose, worn down, and failing with an All-on-4 implant-supported restoration.

The treatment journey included consultation, implant placement with computer-guided precision, a healing phase, digital scanning, and the fitting of a fixed upper implant-supported restoration fabricated in collaboration with Royal Dental Lab.

As with all dental treatments, outcomes, treatment times, and suitability for implant treatment vary depending on individual clinical factors, oral health, healing, and treatment needs.

This case study is provided for educational purposes. Individual treatment plans and outcomes vary according to each patient’s clinical circumstances.
